Middle School Gangs Arrested
From the DSCO page:
On May 4th, 2009 the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested 13 juveniles (bringing the total to 15 that have been arrested) for a series of fights that have taken place at Chestnut Log Middle School. The fights stemmed from arguments between several middle school gangs. These gangs were fighting after school on the school property and during school in the bathrooms and locker rooms. The Sheriff’s Department and the Board of Education have been working closely together to identify all those students that were involved in order to curtail this activity so that it does not lead to further gang related crimes. The charges on the youth ranged from affray (fighting), school disruption, gang related participation, and bringing weapons and drugs to school.
