There was yet another wreck at the four way (really five way) stop at Dorsett Shoals/Pool Road/Hwy 5 etc. area this afternoon. I saw one truck being hauled away by a tow truck–it looked like a head-on collision. How many accidents must happen at this intersection before a traffic signal is installed???????
Near Cinco De Mayo on Hwy 5. Apparently the telephone pole broke in half and power was out in the area. Don’t have time now, but later I will listen to the scanner archives and report what I heard.
In a couple of minutes. To my knowledge, this is the third time it’s been aired in the past two days. I didn’t watch the 11pm news last night, or the morning news, however, so it might even be the sixth time it’s aired.
Story this time was about thirty seconds, maybe less. The reporter said “they may just ask for the jail” in this SPLOST. I haven’t heard a confirmation of this from the county, though.
