Two men have been charged with Theft by Taking after they allegedly tried to siphon gasoline from a childcare facility?s transport van, Kennesaw Police said.

Police were called to the North Cobb Academy on Ellison Lakes Drive late Saturday night to investigate reports of a suspicious vehicle. When an officer arrived at the childcare facility, he saw two people standing close to one of the business vans pulling something from the gas tank, police said.

During his investigation, the officer reportedly found a flashlight, siphoning tube and a gas can.

The two people, 35-year-old Joshua Anderson of Acworth and 31-year-old Florencio Elacio of Douglasville, were placed into custody and charged with Theft by Taking and Possession of Tools for The Commission of a Crime.
