A Monday morning fire caused minor damage to the back wall of the Winn law offices at 8572 Bowden Street, Douglasville.

No injuries were reported and the building was able to reopen shortly after the 8:43 a.m. blaze, according to David Brown, division chief of the Douglas County Fire Department.

“We were on the scene within two minutes of the alarm,” Brown said. “Fire fighters quickly extinguished the blaze with an engine hand line.”

Four engines, one ladder truck, two rescue trucks and a squad car answered the alarm.

He said there was some smoke in the building that was cleared with ventilation equipment.

Brown said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
