For Sale

National Tire & Battery on Douglas Blvd is for sale for $1,690,000.  The ad mentions they are in the fourth year of a 20 year lease.

There’s a 10 acre horse farm for sale off Post Road in the Dog Creek Basin.  The price is $550,000.  It’s on Banks Mill Road.

Dogwood Blossom Mobile Home Park on Anneewakee Road is for sale for $1.5 million.

There are 8 acres at the corner of Hwy 5 and St. Andrews Parkway for sale.  It’s split into two different parcels, one with seven acres and one with five acres and one with three acres.  The first  is $450,000 and the second  is $350,000 and the third is $250,000.  All ads say “perfect for daycare center, retail shopping center or any commercial business needs.”

Tributary is selling a .96 acre of commerial land for $450,000.

25 acres at the Northeast corner of Hwy 92 and Riverside Parkway is up for sale for $6,250,000.

For Lease

Live Oak Village (across from Bill Arp Park) still has one space for lease.

Looks like the former Wal-Mart store is up for lease.  Or either it’s the former Cub Foods location.

There are five spaces for lease in the shopping center across from Home Depot (Monkey Joe’s, etc). It lists the traffic count as being 28,850 cars per day. Is it just me,or does that number seem low??

There are four spaces for lease at the Shoppes at Chapel Hill.  This probably includes the space formerly known as Sweet Box Bakery.  I haven’t been by there in awhile, but haven’t heard that they’ve reopened.

Two spaces for lease in the Shoppes at Hillcrest (Papa John’s, Pickron Orthodontics).

Still five spaces for lease in the Arbor Connection strip mall (across from Kia on Douglas Blvd).

The former Ryan’s is up for lease. It also mentions a “possible purchase opportunity.”

And this is surprising–the Johnny Rocket’s at the mall is up for lease.  It says the sales in 2007 “with absentee Owner” were $50,000 a month.  I’m betting it wasn’t that much last year, and I know with the recession they surely haven’t been pulling in that much this year.  Every time I go by there there are, maybe, five people in there.

The former Atlanta Bread franchise is for lease.  It says “by adding equipment that Seller could provide or Buyer supplies a very transition could be had.”

There is also a “sports bar restaurant” for lease.  It says there are “tons of tv’s and pool tables.” It also mentions a banquet room and an outdoor patio.  It says it’s right off the expressway and it’s on a “hi traffic road.”  The only place I can think of is Classics–but there might be another place.  It says it’s 5,000 square feet.  The rent would be $6,100 a month.

Three spaces for lease in the Shoppes at Deer Creek (Publix on Chapel Hill Road).

Three spaces for lease in Douglasville Marketplace (Best Buy).

Former location of Sunbelt Rentals is for lease.

There’s also an apparently huge shopping center going to be built at the corner of Highway 5 and I-20 on Dogwood Hills Drive and Shady Lane.  They are leasing five retail/office, multi-family housing buildings.  One is 1,400 square feet (sf), the second is 5,000 sf, the third is 10,000 sf, the fourth is 20,000 sf, and the fifth is 40,000 sf–big enough for a big box retailer to come in.  Though at this point, I’m not sure what big box retailer Douglasville doesn’t have.  Unless they built something like Dick’s Sporting Goods or The Sports Authority.  I could see that, since we have Gold’s Gym, and now LA Fitness, and Workout Anytime, etc.  A Barnes & Noble would be nice, though.

Four spaces in the Forest Mart shopping center on Fairburn Road are for lease.
