Deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office found 100 pills of Ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia on two suspects from Douglasville during a traffic stop in Grantville.

Sheriff’s deputies stopped the vehicle on Interstate 85 southbound in Grantville Friday evening because the driver — identified as 29-year-old Curtis Joshua Jarrett — was not wearing a seat belt and the vehicle had a window tint violation, according to the police report.

Authorities noticed an odor of marijuana and that the passenger, later identified as 33-year-old James Sherman Jarrett, was acting nervously. During a pat-down, officers found a clear plastic bag with marijuana in James Jarrett’s left shoe.

A search of the vehicle turned up a large bag in the trunk with about one ounce of cocaine, a set of scales and 100 Ecstasy pills.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with felony manufacture/distribution/possession narcotics with intent to distribute, felony possession of narcotics, possession of marijuana, no seat belt and illegal window tint.
